Although the 9–11 Commission was fronted by ‘bipartisan’ chiefs, Thomas Kean and Lee Hamilton, the real power was in the hands of Executive Editor/Chair Philip Zelikow. Nothing appeared in the Commission Report without Zelikow’s approval. Nothing.

Just try finding out what Zelikow’s background is: who were his parents? Where did he grow up? Elementary and high schools? There is NOTHING about the formative years of, arguably, one of the most important ‘Americans’ in the 21st Century. Really?

The earliest fact that we know about Zelikow is that he attended a Baptist bible college, University of the Redlands, as an undergrad, out in sh*tkicker land, East of San Bernardino, at the edge of the Mojave Desert. It’s rumored Zelikow was born in NYC. So, why would a kid from NYC choose to go across the country to Redlands U., an absolutely nothing hillbilly college for kids with very low SATs and a C-minus GPA? And from those humble “beginnings”, Phil hatched to become the most powerful person in the United States in 2002, at the age of 47. Really?

That is one of the weirdest facts, to me, about the whole phony 9–11 thing — of all the extraordinarily intelligent, insightful persons who could’ve been chosen to dig deep & investigate the worst security breech and homeland attack in U.S. history, our rulerz chose a doofus from a bible college out in sh*tkicker-ville. Really?

If any of you CIA, Booz-Hamilton types out there who read Cait’s blog can explain to me who Zelikow really is (it’s rumored he was born in NYC) and why he was chosen for this most important post, I’d pay to hear it.
